The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, is reporting to the Law Commission the balance of SPAK for 2022.

Duman has emphasized that the number of criminal offenses for money laundering is increasing, saying that cases from foreign jurisdictions have also been identified.

Regarding confiscations, Dumani said that Albania has improved its performance. He underlines that in SPAK, a property investigation is also carried out for almost every criminal proceeding.

The head of SPAK said that special care has been taken in cases where criminal groups from abroad place assets in Albania, stressing that this typology of cases is also increasing.

" We have an increase in the number of confiscations and sequestrations of real estate.

In October 2022, law enforcement institutions have increased the number of registrations of criminal offenses for money laundering. Money laundering cases are on the rise.

Cases from foreign jurisdictions have been identified. Regarding confiscations, Albania has improved its performance.
