Jorida Tabaku

The deputy says that the decision of the Supreme Court is clear and in defense of the pockets of Albanians who pay more for oil, therefore according to her there is no logical and legal reason for the oligarchs' board to be in power.

She underlines that it is up to the government to act, and not become a partner in the high prices set by the board.

" The government must implement the decisions of the Constitutional Court!

The Constitutional Court has decided that the Food Board and the Fuel Board, in addition to being unconstitutional, have performed their functions on time!

In a complete violation of competition, in an unprecedented case in the world, big businesses sat down at the table with the government and set prices to the detriment of citizens' pockets! As a result of this violation of the constitution, at least 600 million Euros were paid in addition by the citizens to the businesses that sat at the table to set the price.

The Food Board, although legally still undissolved de facto, is no longer meeting. Meanwhile, the Fuel Board continues the old practice by setting prices for oil at the expense of Albanians.

All this when there is a decision of the GJK that speaks clearly, when we are facing a situation that is no longer an emergency and when the prices of oil and gas in the international market have stabilized!

The decision of the GJK is clear and in defense of the pockets of Albanians who pay more for oil, therefore there is no logical and legal reason for the oligarchs' board to be in power. It is up to the government to act, but I also understand its hesitation since it is a partner in the high prices set by the board. Therefore, I call on the parliament to convene to request the suspension of the activity of this board.

I am convinced that there are many socialist colleagues with whom we can share many different opinions, but we agree on the madness of this board, especially after the decision of the Constitutional Court.

Parliament's task! The duty of every MP is to protect the interest of Albanians, since they are our voters and not a club of oligarchs that sets them the high price of oil, making their lives more expensive than socialist inflation!", writes Tabaku./ CNA.al
