"The lawyer cheated"/ Kalaja: Bollino refuses to participate in a

Lawyer Adriana Kalaja spoke from the Special Court after the hearing, where Carlo Bollino sued MP Belind Këlliçi and Jamarbër Malltez for defamation.

Kalaja said that Bollino refuses to participate in a process that he initiated himself. The lawyer said that Bollino's defense lawyer, in a previous session, was absent with the excuse that he had a family emergency and on the same day participated in a civil process.

For this fraud, said Kalaja, the judge has been asked to address the Chamber of Advocates for disciplinary action. The lawyer stated that they will take the measure themselves.

Regarding today's session, Kalaja stated that the court has withdrawn for another session to rule on the jurisdiction.

 

"He refuses to participate in a process that he initiated himself. The lawyer, under pressure from another person, lies and deceives by saying that he was absent due to a family disaster. The other lawyer was in a civil process on the same day. This was admitted by Bollino's lawyer himself today. We have asked the judge to address the Chamber of Advocates for disciplinary measures... a request that we will make ourselves. He began to introduce the process into an unnecessary conflict by repeating a process that we have done.

"The court has adjourned for another session to decide on jurisdiction. We have the evidence, but the law does not oblige us to present it ," said Kalaja.
