The German Embassy in Albania congratulated the head of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK), Altin Duman, for being named one of the 10 champions in the fight against corruption by the US State Department.

"As the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime, he stands out for his integrity, professionalism and courage," the German Embassy said in a post on social networks.

"The rule of law, good governance and the fight against corruption are necessary conditions for EU membership", adds the German Embassy.

A day earlier, the US Embassy in Tirana also congratulated the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, for being awarded the Champion Against Corruption Award for 2024.
