The US Embassy identifies the Municipality of Tirana with corruption

In a reaction made by the US embassy in Tirana today at noon, after the protest organized by activists for the protection of the theater and the opposition, for the first time the Municipality of Tirana is identified with corruption. 

According to the announcement made by the embassy condemning acts of violence,  it is emphasized that "the right to assemble peacefully to protest and demand action against corruption are all vital in any democracy". The embassy further emphasizes that violence is not necessary. 

For the first time, the US embassy underlines the message:  to protest and demand action against corruption and today the opposition was protesting against corruption in the Municipality of Tirana and demanding the reaction of SPAK, against the corruption of the directors of Erion Veliaj, against the corruption of the municipality and its mayor, who is trying to treat the issue as a trifle that happened in the corridors of the institution. 

In fact, the embassy is quite clear, the citizens should protest, the corruption building is the Tirana municipality building . It is already identified in the position of the US embassy in Tirana as a corruption building. 

The actions requested by the protesters are against the building of corruption, against the municipality of Tirana, and are addressed to SPAK to act further, to punish corruption without stopping.

The denunciation of the "5D" file and Ermal Kaplajnat's scandals should be supported by citizens to protest and act against corruption .

Everything has come with a clear message from the US Embassy in Tirana/ CNA
