The former Mayor of Libohova, Luiza Mandi, has been sentenced by the Special Anticorruption Court to 1 year in prison.
From the summary judgment, Mandi benefits from the reduction of the sentence to 8 months in prison.
The decision was given in absentia, as the former mayor is outside the territory of Albania.
Mandi is accused of "abuse of duty". She was sentenced for a report made by a citizen, who claimed that the municipality is developing a road expansion project on the properties of his family members.
SPAK found that the property of the citizen's family members had been violated and seized the project./ CNA
