81st anniversary of the liberation of Mauthausen Concentration Camp/ Albanian

At the Mauthausen Concentration Camp, the 81st anniversary of the liberation of this infamous Nazi camp was commemorated, with the participation of state delegations from various European countries.

The Ambassador of Albania to Austria, Fate Velaj, along with the Permanent Representative of Albania to International Organizations in Vienna, Eglantina Gjermeni, were present at the ceremony.

They placed wreaths and bouquets of flowers near the Albanian national monument, as well as at the memorials of Italy, Greece, Poland and Kosovo, in honor and remembrance of the victims of Nazi terror. 427 Albanians lost their lives in the Mauthausen camp.

Today, at Mauthausen Concentration Camp, the 81st anniversary of the liberation of this infamous Nazi camp was commemorated.

The memorial ceremony was attended by members of the Austrian government, ministers from Spain, Italy, Poland, etc., as well as delegations from all the countries from which boys and girls, men and women lost their lives in this terrible camp.

Together with Ambassador Gjermeni, we placed wreaths and bouquets of flowers near our national monument, but also at the monuments of our Italian, Greek, Polish friends, and Kosovar brothers.
