Arrested Mayor Erion Veliaj, who is facing 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, and his family's journalist, Mero Baze, have been publicly deceiving for about a year regarding the accusations they have leveled against prosecutor Ols Dado.

A full 336 days have passed since the public deception of Veliaj and Mero Baze, who accuse prosecutor Ols Dado of initiating the investigation due to a conflict of interest, where according to their claims, the prosecutor requested additional fees for the construction permit, a request that according to Mayor Veliaj has not accepted, therefore he qualifies the initiation of the investigation against him as "personal revenge".

336 days ago, namely on August 18, 2025, Erion Veliaj addressed the court with a document with 175 points on 77 unsigned pages to declare the investigations against the mayor, who is in Durrës prison cells with 13 charges for several serious criminal offenses, invalid, claiming that the prosecutor has launched the investigations to "revenge."

Today, 336 days have passed and Erion Veliaj and Mero Baze have not yet published the document they claimed with the signature of prosecutor Ols Dado for an addition to the permitted portion, nor the rejection of this request with the signature of Erion Veliaj. (The request does not exist, nor the rejection, just like the Tirana incinerator).

On the other hand, his family's journalist, Mero Baze, says that, according to him, the investigation against Veliaj is being insistently requested by a prosecutor, who months ago had a personal conflict with him, regarding his requests for a construction permit outside the legal criteria that the municipality had.

Why doesn't Mero Baze confirm this? Where is the document with Ols Dado's signature and the refusal signed by Erion Veliaj? Why doesn't he produce it?

What has happened is that both Erion Veliaj and his family's journalist Mero Baze, since the mayor's arrest, have launched a campaign of attacks against the judiciary, SPAK, the prosecutor, and judges.

Attacks from all sides, with false reports that the mayor and his brother have lobbied for $430,000, to say that prosecutor Ols Dado is a DP activist and property developer and that he has submitted a request to Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj for an extension on the construction permit on the property he owned, which according to the mayor was refused.

Attacks in written media paid for by the mayor against the prosecutor, such as the case of his family's journalist Mero Baze, whom he directs from Durrës prison, as has resulted from wiretaps published by CNA.

As an attack on prosecutor Ols Dado, Erion Veliaj has also sent a ridiculous lawsuit to the Administrative Court, where he appears in sessions while on the other hand he is afraid to face the GJKKO, with 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses and has been indefinitely postponing court sessions for a year, which shows the true face of the mayor.

But all the lies of Veliaj and the media paid by him have come to light and been refuted by facts. 

Today, 336 days have passed and neither Veliaj nor his media cronies Mero Baze have released either the request signed by the prosecutor who, according to them, requested the additional fee, nor the rejection document signed by the mayor.
