YouTube has kicked out influencer Andrew Tate from the social network for violating its policies.

The Google-owned social media site took action following Meta's decision to ban Tate from Facebook and Instagram.

The ex-kickboxer became famous in 2016 when he was removed from the TV show "Big Brother" because of a video of him assaulting a woman.

He continued to gain fame on the Internet, but Twitter banned him, saying that he must be held accountable for the violence he has inflicted on women.

He had 4.7 million followers on Instagram at the time his account was taken down.

That number had grown rapidly from around one million followers in June.

Meta said it had removed the kickboxing star from its platforms for violating its policies on dangerous organizations and individuals, but did not provide further details.
