Albania's first friendly before the European Championship is official

The Albanian national team will play a friendly match with Sweden. The Albanian Football Federation has reached an agreement with the Swedish Federation for this meeting to be played on March 25, 2024 at the "Friends Arena" stadium in Stockholm, Sweden, while the schedule remains to be determined.

This friendly match is part of the preparations for the European "Germany 2024", as the Albanian Football Federation is working to formalize another friendly for the month of March.

As for the friendly with Sweden, this will be the sixth time that the two representatives will face each other in a football match. In the past, Albania and Sweden have met only once in a friendly match that was won by the red and blacks with a score of 2-1.

While the other challenges have been valid for the qualifiers of the World Championship, where Sweden has won three meetings and one match has been divided into a 0-0 draw.

Albania developed a very good qualifying edition and ended it in first place in Group E, ensuring participation in the finals of "Germany 2024", as it will face Italy, Croatia and Spain in the European Championship.
