OFFICIAL/ Chaos with Milan-Como, the match in Australia is canceled

The Milan-Como match will not take place in Australia, despite the agreement reached earlier to play it on February 8 in Perth.

Just a few days after the official announcement, Lega Serie A has taken a step back, cancelling the project. The reasons cited were financial risks that could not be controlled, onerous approval conditions and last-minute complications.

The additional requirements of the Asian Football Confederation were decisive. The project had previously been approved by all 20 Serie A clubs, the FIGC and UEFA.

It is currently unclear where and when the match will be played. The San Siro is unavailable on that date due to the inauguration of the Milan–Cortina Olympic Games. Lega Serie A has expressed regret over the closure of the project.
