OFFICIAL/ Historic day, "San Siro" passes into the ownership of Milan

It is a historic day for the city of Milan. The “San Siro” stadium, one of the most famous monuments of world football, has officially passed into the ownership of the Inter and Milan clubs. After months of negotiations and delays justified by technical reasons, representatives of the two clubs and the Municipality of Milan have signed the notarial deed of transfer of ownership.

The transfer of ownership was made possible after the approval of the decision by the Municipal Council, which accepted the joint offer of the two clubs. The total sale value is 197 million euros, to be paid in several installments, with around 100 million euros included in the first payment.

This amount also includes taxes, as well as a portion of the stadium's arrears. The procedure had to be finalized before November 10, as after this date the decision of the Directorate of Monuments to place architectural protection on the second part of the stadium would come into effect, which would prevent the construction of the new facility in the same place.
