Silvinjo talks about the past: I cried before bed, no one heard me

The coach of the Albanian National Team, Silvinjo, held a special meeting with the players of the Elite Youth Development Academy, where he shared his journey as a player and as a coach.

He focused on his beginnings as a footballer, important moments with the clubs he played for, the difficulties he encountered, as well as his experience managing the National Team over the past three years.

"I have had a long journey in football, with different coaches, from whom I have learned a lot. For me, the most difficult part as a footballer was managing the moments when I did not play well or not at all and when I did not play at all. It is not easy, because you feel an internal frustration, but it is important not to transfer it to your teammates, the coach or other staff members", - said coach Silvinjo.

"I've been a good footballer since I was little, I played with my left foot and in general all players who play with their left foot are very good. Around the age of 15-16 I found myself for the first time in a situation where I wasn't playing. This was a moment that makes you think about how you can move forward. At dinner I cried for 5 minutes before going to sleep, no one could hear me, but the next day at 7 am I was ready", - emphasized the national team coach.

In the end, coach Silvinjo gave some advice to the young Rossoneri, emphasizing the importance of consistency in training and team spirit in the team.

"Believe in yourself, if you have to cry, cry, if you have to laugh, laugh, do your best. You don't play well on Sunday because you trained well on Saturday. You play well on Sunday because you trained 100 days in the same way. There are days when things don't go well, it's human, but you have to prepare for the next day, without ever complaining.
Stay close to each other, because on the field one runs for the other with more pleasure. This is what we ask from the team as staff", - said among other things Silvinjo in the meeting with the boys of "Elite Youth".

In the coming weeks, the boys of the Elite Youth Academy will have other activities of this nature, in line with the goal of their education beyond football.
