Switzerland shines with 4 goals, Xhaka and friends destroy Bosnia

Switzerland took an important step towards qualifying for the knockout stage of the 2026 World Cup, defeating Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 in Group B.

After a goalless first half, the Swiss found the advantage in the 75th minute with Johan Manzambi, who scored after an assist from Ruben Vargas.

The situation became more difficult for the Bosnians in the 81st minute, when Tarik Muharemovic was sent off. Three minutes later, Vargas scored to make it 2-0 after an assist from Breel Embolo.

In the 89th minute, Manzambi scored his second personal goal and Switzerland's third. Bosnia and Herzegovina narrowed the gap in extra time through Ermin Mahmic, but Granit Xhaka sealed the score 4-1 from the penalty spot.

With this victory, Switzerland moves to four points after two matches, while Bosnia remains forced to win the last challenge in the group.
