The situation at Inter, the important starter returns

Milan's loss to Lazio at the Olimpico has favored Inter in the race for the Serie A title.

Although the Blues drew 1-1 against Atalanta, Cristian Chivu's team maintains an 8-point advantage at the top of the standings with 9 weeks left until the end of the season.

After the match with Atalanta, accompanied by controversy over the refereeing, Chivu has given the players two days of rest. Inter will then focus on the next match against Fiorentina.

The good news for the team is the return of Hakan Çalhanoglu, who missed the derby and the match against Atalanta due to an adductor problem.

Meanwhile, Lautaro Martinez's return remains in doubt, as he is recovering from a soleus injury in his left foot. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also expected to miss the Florence transfer due to a muscle problem suffered in the match against Atalanta.

Inter currently leads the standings with 68 points and continues to hold the fate of the title in their hands.
