Roma returns to victory, two goals away against Lecce

Roma won 2-0 away against Lecce, moving three points closer to the top of the Serie A standings.

This result extends Lecce's negative streak against Roma, with only one win in the last 38 direct encounters.

The Reds took the lead in the 14th minute through Evan Ferguson, after an assist from Paulo Dybala. Roma controlled the game in the first half, although clear-cut chances were few and far between.

Lecce improved after the break but failed to convert the chances they created. The second goal came in the last 20 minutes from Artem Dovbyk.

Roma managed to hold on to the lead until the end and secured three important points. The victory also ends a three-game losing streak on the road for Gasperini's team.
