Expecting to be released from the hospital, the legendary coach suffers a heart attack

Mircea Lucescu suffered a heart attack on Friday morning, April 3, while he was still in the hospital and was expected to be discharged.

The 80-year-old was initially hospitalized after fainting on March 29 during a training session. His condition suddenly worsened, leading to him being transported on a stretcher to the intensive care unit due to high blood pressure.

Doctors immediately intervened and performed an emergency operation. According to reports, he suffered an acute myocardial infarction and underwent treatment according to medical protocols.

During the intervention, doctors were forced to revive him three times with CPR. His condition currently appears to be stabilized, but he remains under constant monitoring.
