The President of the Dutch Football Association (KNVB), Frank Paauw, paid an official visit to the “House of Football” this Wednesday. Invited by the President of the Albanian Football Association, Armand Duka, the head of the Dutch Federation had the opportunity to learn about the history of Albanian football and its achievements over the years.

President Paauw also took a close look at the "National Arena" stadium, while also visiting the national team's training center and the training grounds of the "House of Football".

During the meeting with President Duka, opportunities for cooperation between the two federations were also discussed, with a focus on the exchange of experiences and the development of joint projects for the future. The President of the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), Agim Ademi, was also present at this meeting.

In a statement to fshf.org, President Paauw expressed his great admiration for the achievements and high level of the Albanian Football Association (AFHA) over the past few years. The President of the Dutch Football Association praised President Duka's invitation and underlined that the relationship between the two football institutions is very good.

"I have to say that I am very impressed with the achievements of the Albanian Football Federation over the past few years. Both from the responsibility that the Federation feels towards Albanian society and the good work they have done, but also for the growth of professional football as well as amateur football to a higher level."

I had the opportunity to discuss this with President Armand Duka because if you look at the history of where the Federation comes from, the development of the country and the achievements that have been made, it is truly extraordinary and impressive. I visited the stadium, I visited the training grounds of the Federation. They are at a high level and I have to say that for a relatively small country, this is a great achievement.

The relationship between the two countries? – The fact that I greatly appreciate being invited here and the fact that we as two Federations seek innovation is a key point for cooperation. A good relationship has long been established between the Royal Netherlands Football Association and the Albanian Football Federation. This visit is also an even greater impetus for our relations”, – said Frank Paauw.
