The match with Serbia/ Granit Xhaka is warned: Don't go out in the city!

On March 25, the match between Belarus and Switzerland valid for the 'Euro 2024' qualifiers will be played. Due to the sanctions imposed on Belarus, the match will be played in Serbia at the 'Kara?or?e' stadium (Novi Sad).

Regarding this match, Predrag Mihailovic, editor-in-chief of the "Sportal.rs" portal in Belgrade, also spoke, giving details regarding security.

He said that the Albanian footballers, Granit Xhaka and Xherdan Shaqiri, are still seen as people who provoke the Serbian players.

Remembering that Xhaka is not welcome in Serbia, the journalist said that the latter should not go out in the city and that the Serbian police have taken measures just in case.

"People still see Xhaka and Shaqiri as people who provoke Serbian players. Xhaka and Shaqiri are not only footballers, but have also been seen as political figures as they have already shown their political beliefs.

He is obviously not welcome here and should not go out into town. However, for any case, the Serbian police will be ready" - said the Serbian journalist.
