They won the trial, the Super League director: Football was freed from the UEFA monopoly, there are no more threats

The creators of the European Super League are celebrating the decision of the European Court of Justice after winning their battle with UEFA and FIFA over the establishment of the European club competition.

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruled that both entities exercise an abuse of dominant position and that their power to prevent the creation of new football competitions contravenes European competition rules.

The reactions were not delayed and a few minutes after the announcement of the decision, A22, the company that organizes the European Super League, distributed a series of publications about the court decision, but at first they emerged as its winners.

The director of the Super League, Bernd Reichart, has sent several messages through the official Twitter account of the company that would organize the competition, ensuring that there will be competition and they will broadcast free football:

"We have earned the right to compete. UEFA's monopoly is over. Football was released. Now clubs will no longer suffer from threats and sanctions. They are free to decide about their future".

"For the fans: We will broadcast all Superliga matches for free. For clubs: club income and payments in solidarity with football are guaranteed," wrote Reichart.
