Granit Xhaka reveals the behind-the-scenes: Arsenal showed a lack of respect towards me

This summer, Granit Xhaka left Arsenal, the club with which he was active for 7 seasons in the English championship. The Swiss midfielder, of Albanian origin, returned to the Bundesliga, joining the project of technician Xabi Alonso, who is currently dominating the Bundesliga.

But it seems that the relationship between the player and the "gunners" has not been closed in the best possible way and 6 months after his departure from the Premier League, Xhaka has spoken about the relationship with the club in an interview for "The Athletic".

"Arsenal showed a lack of respect towards me even when I was captain of the team. It was clear that the club wanted to get rid of me. Everyone except Arteta wanted this. I had decided to leave the club with my heart and soul, but it was Mikel who told me that he wanted me to stay", said Xhaka, among other things.
