European age weightlifting champion/ Ertjan Kofsha fourth in the breakaway

In the European Weightlifting Championship for youth and U-23, Albania is represented by 12 athletes, but so far it has not been able to enter the medal zone .

At noon yesterday, Ertjan Kofsha, the talent of Shtërmen, from whom the red and black national weightlifting team had the highest expectations, stepped up to the podium.

Kofsha competed in Battery A of 81 kg for juniors. He registered 143 kg in the breakaway, placing fourth.

While in the push, he failed all three tests with 168 kg, and therefore could not be classified in the two-eventer.

However, it must be said that Kofsha, only 17 years old, competed against opponents who were 2 or 3 years older than him.

A result that should not demoralize the red and black weightlifter, who will have other important competitions ahead of him.

We remind you that just a few months ago, Kofsha was declared triple European champion for U17, an event where he competed with his peers.
