This success has lifted Manchester City to fifth place in the table with 31 points, keeping alive the hopes of a further climb in the standings.

An interesting match also took place between Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers. "Spurs" managed to secure only a 2-2 draw at home, a result that has moved them to 11th place with 26 points after 19 weeks of the championship.
