A huge success in the market! Arsenal are preparing to sign Havertz, the Chelsea striker, who will undergo the necessary medical examinations in the coming hours. 

If everything goes normally, the 24-year-old German will be presented at the beginning of the week, where the Gunners will pay around 75 million euros for the London Blues. Mikel Arteta thus strengthens an attack that already has, among others, Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Saka, Trossard and Nketiah.

The Spanish coach is ready to provide an asset for the defensive axis as well. Arsenal will have already reached an understanding with Jurrien Timber, the 22-year-old Ajax centre-back, but the Dutchman is still not convinced. The process is ongoing and the London club should formalize a second proposal in the coming days.

On the other hand, midfield has been one of Mikel Arteta's main concerns. The manager is desperate to sign West Ham's 24-year-old defensive midfielder Declan Rice but has so far hit a wall. 

West Ham has already rejected a proposal of 87 million euros, plus 17 million in variables! Arsenal must submit a new bid in the coming hours, already under more pressure with Manchester City entering the race. 

Gone from the Gunners is Thomas Partey, a 30-year-old defensive midfielder who is in talks with a club in Saudi Arabia but continues to prioritize football from the Old Continent.
