In 2021, revenues from environmental taxes reached the value of about 47 billion ALL, suffering a decrease of 12.64%, compared to 2019.

According to INTSTAT, from the structure of environmental tax revenues for 2020, energy taxes account for the largest share of revenues with 83.02%, followed by transport taxes with 11.69%, pollution taxes with 5.17% and natural resource taxes with 0.12%, writes CNA.al.

During 2020, revenues from energy taxes have decreased by 14.22%, while revenues from natural resources taxes have decreased by 8.32%.

During the same period, revenues from pollution taxes have also decreased by 8.06%, while revenues from transport taxes have decreased by 1.99%.

In 2020, the weight of environmental tax revenues to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is 2.84%, suffering a decrease of 0.32 percentage points, compared to 2019.

Income from environmental taxes, in 2020, constitutes 11.71% of total tax income and social contributions, suffering a decrease of 0.83 percentage points, compared to 2019./CNA.al
