The hall of the "Arefi Berberi" sports palace in Pogradec was filled with smiles, applause and special emotions. Over 90 little ones participated in the third edition of the "Baby Marathon", an activity that has now become a beloved tradition for the lakeside city.

Organized by the Pogradec Municipality and the "Maraton Albania" association, the race maintained all the standards of a true athletic challenge, where each young participant was provided with a race number and a timing chip. For organizer Leonard Peço, returning to Pogradec always has a special meaning.

"Then returning to Pogradec is undoubtedly a special feeling and a pleasure. It is precisely this place where we, as the Marathon Albania Association, were given the opportunity to hold an international race and we return to the fifth edition and we can proudly say that we have succeeded in turning a dream into reality. Today was precisely the third edition of the Baby Marathon, where they gave us and gave us endless emotions. It was a super challenge for the children of course, but also a responsibility on our part to really find the best. For the sake of truth, the Baby Marathon was born in Pogradec and continues to preserve the tradition right here in Pogradec. There were about 90 participating children, of whom all were awarded medals, all with an improvised race number and chip, so it was a regular race and undoubtedly for the winners of each age group we also had dedicated cups."

All participating babies and children were awarded medals for their efforts, while the fastest in each age group also received cups dedicated to the victory. For parents, this day will remain long in their memory. Many of them did not hide their emotions and pride for the first trophy in the lives of their little ones.

The Baby Marathon proved once again that sports and physical activity know no age, providing a true family celebration in the heart of Pogradec. CNA
