Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa spoke in a statement to the media before the hearing where she is being sued for defamation by the internationally wanted person in the incinerators affair, Mirel Mërtiri. She said that she will pursue this matter to the end, while revealing that she and Belind Këlliçi were followed in cars when they were in Sharra.

"I have a hearing at 11:15, Mirel Mërtiri, who is internationally wanted, has sued me for my statements about the Tirana incinerator that does not exist. 

They have money missing from the state budget and are trying to silence us about the Tirana incinerator.

"He claims that I caused him psychological harm. I have a duty to denounce him. When we were with Belind Këlliçi in Sharra, they followed us in cars, now they are filing a lawsuit," said Zhupa. /CNA
