The DP councilor in the Municipal Council of Tirana, Ilda Zhulali, has commented on the clashes at the Municipal Council meeting with Erion Veliaj.

Zhulali emphasized that Veliaj only recites in the meeting while the majority raises the cards without reading the decisions.

Zhulali emphasized that even the councilors of the majority simply raise the cards, without reading the decisions.

She emphasized that Veliaj refused to give economic aid to the citizens in the month of August.  

"Erion Veliaj recites the tape and the cards are raised, without ever reading the decisions. Veliaj refused to give the citizens the economic aid for the month of August.

People who are on economic assistance are old 30 thousand lek. What can be done with 30 thousand per month? The money goes to the incinerators. Most of the family budget today in Tirana and Albania goes to food. The number of families in need of economic assistance has increased," said Zhulali./ CNA
