Çuçi denies the US DEA offices in Tirana/ "Only one person will stay"

The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, clarified in the Assembly the presence of the DEA in Albania.

During his speech in the pulpit, Çuçi said that it is not about an office, but about a permanent person.

"For the first time, it is not an office, but a person that the DEA has appointed to be permanently in Tirana. Until today we cooperated with the DEA through its office in Athens. As a result of the intensification of cooperation that we have had in the last two years with this office and as a need to be at a synchronized level of cooperation, both the DEA and the State Police agreed to have a person who would be a resident in Albania that would cooperate with the State Police and SPAK", declared the Minister of the Interior./CNA
