Borrel delivers the news: The government withdraws from the golden passport scheme

The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, during the press conference, Josep Borrell stated that the meeting of the Stabilization-Association Council is the most important institutional interaction between the countries.

Regarding the reform for golden passports, Borrell said that the scheme for them will not continue to be followed.

 "In this meeting we want to give a signal for the integration of Albania in the EU. This is the most important institutional interaction between us. Through it we examine what has been done so far and what needs to be done next. Unwavering commitment to the accession of Albania to the EU. Where the country has reached important stages, especially in the reform of justice. The scheme of golden passports will not be pursued further," said Borrell./ CNA.al
