Tabaku mentioned golden passports / Balla: A barren and pointless debate

2023-03-16 12:57:00, Politikë CNA

The deputy of the "seal" group, Jorida Tabaku, during her speech from the floor of the Assembly, stated that the government should withdraw from the golden passports, since according to her, the institutions do not work here.

After her, Taulant Balla, Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, opposed her saying that the debate and criticism of the reform are barren and out of place.

Tabaku:  There were at least 3 calls to the Investigative Committee and they were not accepted, and this puts the position of the deputy in the shadows. It leaves the parliament out, but above all it does not let the opposition to account. The opposition is not in the parliament as a number, but to make the integration process more dignified. I have often called for an inclusiveness of young people who are unfortunately leaving en masse. Unlike the region, Albania has faced internal rather than external obstacles.

Balla:  Coming out here and criticizing unilateral reforms and then praising the new justice system, I think you need a clearer argument, Ms. Tabaku. That when you were sitting under the tent for the banning of institutions, we were sitting here waiting for you. Reforms cannot be done by one wing of politics. I think that this debate is barren and out of place./ CNA.al
