“Të mos harrohen krimet kundër njerëzimit”/ Ambasadori Velaj pret në takim koordinatorin e Komitetit të Mauthausen

Ambasadori i Republikës së Shqipërisë në Austri, Fate Velaj priti në një takim Prof. Wolfgang Bandion, organizatës që punon për të mos lejuar harresën e krimeve kundër njerëzimit, të kryera nga nazistët në kampin e përqendrimit në Mauthausen, Austri.

Gjatë bisedës, u diskutua mbi mundësinë e rivitalizimit të kontakteve ndërmjet kësaj organizate dhe Shqipërisë, të cilat u ndërprenë pas ndarjes nga jeta të z. Hilmi Bani ish-Kryetar i organizatës për Shqipërinë.

Ambasadori Velaj shprehu angazhimin e tij për të çuar përpara këtë bashkëpunim, ashtu siç kishte vepruar edhe në vitin 2005, kur kontribuoi në vendosjen e marrëdhënieve mes Shqipërisë dhe Komitetit Ndërkombëtar të Mauthausen.

Ai nënvizoi se nga Shqipëria humbën jetën 437 vetë në kampin e Mauthausen mes tyre edhe xhaxhai i babait të tij dhe theksoi rëndësinë e ruajtjes së kujtesës historike për t’i nderuar ata dhe për të edukuar brezat e rinj./CNA
