"Let's be honest citizens"/ Nard Ndoka: Opposition determined to

The leader of the Christian Democratic Party, Nard Ndoka, spoke extensively today regarding the political situation in the country and the actions of the opposition.

In a television appearance, Ndoka said that protests are an important tool of democracy, which also serve as a measure of the weight of the Albanian opposition.

According to the politician, the opposition is now determined to protect the public interest in this way, in the face of a prime minister who, according to him, has corrupt elements.

"Protests, without a doubt, have a broad significance, I could say, in terms of how they are read, how they are perceived, and how they give their image and reflection. It is an important tool of democracy, of the constitutional space, a measuring unit that even when they are political, the opposition measures its weight, how much it motivates people, how much it inspires citizens who have many problems, but they are always inclined to look at an alternative, to create political confidence that things will change tomorrow.

It is also a mirror where the prime minister in particular, but also the majority sees themselves, how much the gap of dissatisfaction is increased by their irresponsibility, by corrupt affairs, by misgovernance and I believe that these are good for society as a whole. Then there is also a space for citizens, that protests really have a very great importance, due to the fact that we are taking an example that the unfounded corrupt increase in the price of oil, so in any civilized country, the citizens will be the ones to come out without being called by politics, showing their anger, their dissatisfaction, not accepting this. Without a doubt, yes!

The opposition is not simply a beneficiary in terms of political capital, but it is an institution that must carry weight, that must protect this public interest and I believe that the date 22 is also a symbolic date, March 22 is the victory of right-wing pluralism in 1992. It is a date that gives people a kind of optimism to move forward, that not only faith in God, but they will also have faith in politics that this changes the fate of the country, has responsibility, has its own sins and the presence of citizens, gives a message to everyone to repair themselves in terms of responsibility and accountability to citizens. There is a political rhetoric that always accompanies these, so they raise the curve as if these protests will overthrow the government the moment they end.

We must be honest with the citizens, this is a very important unit of measurement. So, there may also be an agenda to block the government, to overthrow the government altogether. This also depends on participation, on the political situation, on the right moment. But to date, there is a maximum awareness of the international factor, that these are intertwined. That is why the opposition has taken it calmly, with courage, with courage to move forward, to set some milestones, not milestones, it has also been called the last kilometer, this protest has a sense, a political logic. For the fact that this shows that the opposition is already determined. There is another and another alienation of the Albanian political reality. If until yesterday we had Prime Minister Rama, who had support from the sponsored international factor, indisputable, with corrupt elements, with his public and non-public gifts, today this reality has changed", - declared Ndoka. /CNA
