Meeting with young people in Belsh/ Rama: Victory on May 11 is part of a mission

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting in Belsh today. There he spoke with some of the first-time voters of the Elbasan District. In his speech, Rama emphasized the changes in the last 4 years in this city.

At the beginning of his speech, Rama shared with the young people one of the trips he took years ago to Belsh, when there was no city center and no organization.

"I remembered the first rally in Belsh and they came out in front of me who knows how many kilometers away. They had come out on the road. I got out of the car and the road was not good. From that point we came and held a rally on the main road. It was a trip to the past that happened to me in 90% of the cases," said Rama.

Rama said that the changes made in recent years have turned Belshi into an important destination.

"Here we are today and Belshi is a destination. This cleanliness and this atmosphere were completely the opposite. It is beyond what we see. It is spread out in the community and business, family economy, agrotourism are growing. What we have to overcome and it is not easy, is the huge gap between you where you are and the real Albania as a whole," said Rama.

The Prime Minister also commented on the May 11 elections, for which he said that their victory would fulfill a generational mission.  

"On May 11, we will achieve a great victory. Not for me, but to fulfill a mission that is not ours, but of entire generations," Rama said. /CNA
