The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali, has concluded her official visit to Athens, where she held important meetings within the framework of the European Union enlargement process and the integration of the Western Balkans.

In a post on the social network Facebook, Spiropali announced that the day before he met with experts, academics and ambassadors at the Hellenic Foundation for Foreign and European Policies in Athens.

During the discussions, the focus was on EU enlargement as a geopolitical instrument and the role of the Western Balkans in this process.

The Minister emphasized that for Albania, the enlargement of the European Union does not simply represent a bureaucratic process, but a development and defense mechanism that strengthens Europe's strategic depth.

"A substantive discussion at the Hellenic Foundation for Foreign and European Policies in Athens, with experts, academics and Ambassadors on the momentum of the EU enlargement process, as a powerful geopolitical instrument for maintaining the stability, security and economic cohesion of the continent. For Albania, enlargement is not a bureaucratic exercise. It is a development and defense mechanism that strengthens the strategic depth of Europe, where our country can contribute with all its potential", said Spiropali./ CNA
