Survey/ Should Erion Veliaj be arrested?

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj

CNA opened a survey this Wednesday, asking citizens if the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, should be arrested.

In the survey, 3 alternatives were given: " Yes ", " No " and " I don't know ".

This survey comes after the last checks of the BKH, by order of the GJKKO for the investigations being carried out by SPAK.

The Special Prosecutor's Office is conducting a property investigation against Erion Veliaj and his family members. Also, in SPAK, several other reports have been filed against Veliaj, for hot issues such as the Tirana incinerator affair, or even the "5D" file.

Veliaj ended up in the Special Prosecutor's Office also for the towers in Tirana, for the "May 5" collapses, for the reconstructions, as well as for the collapse of the National Theater.  

The mayor was interrogated by SPAK on April 30, 2024, where he stayed for about 8 hours.

CNA has also denounced Veliaj's tentacles in the media, his brother's connections and benefits, as well as Ajola Xoxa's uncle and mother./ CNA
