The Head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, delivered his speech at the 10th edition of the European Integration School.

In his speech, Balla, referring to the statements of one of the founders of the EU, Altiero Spinelli, said that Albania is in a process of reunification with Europe.

Further in his speech, Balla stated that interest in attending this school is growing every year.

The leader of the SP group stated that more than 91% of Albanians want EU membership.

 

" More than 75% of the participants this year are girls. For us as an Assembly, it is an achievement in this regard as well."

One of the founding fathers of the EU, Altiero Spinelli, said at the height of the LIIB that the future will not be built on the division of states, but on unification into a single federation.

European integration remains our common goal for a stronger Albania in a more united Europe. It is up to the EU's sound decision-making that in these difficult times the wise words of the founding fathers enable a new wave of enlargement.

The right word is reunification with Europe. We are in a process of reunification.

Throughout this decade, the School has had many distinguished lecturers from Europe as well as international and regional experts from countries that have completed the negotiation process or experts from countries that are at the same stage as us.

There are those who have graduated from the school and today we have ministers or deputy ministers. I feel proud today that after a decade, the interest in being part of this school is increasing every year.

On this 10th anniversary, I want to emphasize that after the opening of 5 group chapters, society is in a new, fundamental phase of the European integration process.

Albania has made unprecedented progress. Now we look forward to opening the final chapter.
