Shameful/ Sinan Idrizi's candidate in Vlora will govern with 15 thousand

On Sunday, partial elections were held in the Municipality of Vlora, pitting three candidates against each other. In Vlora, one party candidate and two other independent candidates competed.

More specifically: Brunilda Mersini from the Socialist Party, Dionis Sota and Gjergji Nika as independents.

As the vote counting has concluded, the following results have been obtained:

Brunilda Mersini with 15672 votes or 78.44%

Dionis Sota with 2333 votes or 11.68%

Gjergji Nika with 1975 votes or 9.88%

According to official CEC data, 171,895 citizens registered in the municipality's territory had the right to vote in this process.

In 2023, 168 thousand citizens voted in the municipal elections. The Municipality of Vlora has 104,827 inhabitants (Source: INSTAT).

Meanwhile, in these elections, the turnout until 18:00 was 12.54% or 18,111 voters. Mersin, which emerged as the winner, received around 15 thousand votes.

In the elections of May 11, 2025, the Socialist Party received 29,499 votes as a political entity or 59.4% in the Municipality of Vlora.

Meanwhile, returning to yesterday's results, the candidate received around 15 thousand votes, 1/8 of the votes based on the number of residents.

Mersini is nothing more than a candidate linked to clientelist interests with businessman Sinan Idrizi, who has replaced Koço Kokëdhima to act as the sultan of Vlora. /CNA
