The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Belinda Balluku, is in Shkodra this Wednesday, where she is conducting an inspection at the construction site of the "Bërdica Bend-Bahçallëkut" road.

In her speech, during the inspection with the engineers and employees of this infrastructure project, Balluku emphasized that the uniqueness of this project is the improvement of the Bahçalëk Bridge through minor repairs, without interfering with the existing structure.

Balluku said that in addition to this work, a broader plan for the urbanization of the area is also being pursued.

"We are at the construction site of the new Bahçalëk bridge, which replaces the bridge we have today, but on the other hand, an expansion of this road towards the city of Shkodra, starting from Bërdica, is also beginning.

A 1600m road for the entrance to Shkodra and with the duplication of the existing bridge, which has a linear length of 180m, there are two lanes.

The existing bridge will not be affected and we will build a parallel bridge that will serve as one of the arms of the road. That work will not be touched, but some minor repairs will be made to strengthen it, but without touching it. Urbanization will also be carried out through urban furniture, with sidewalks, lighting and green areas, "said Balluku./CNA
