Results from May 11/ Maliqi: There should be high-level resignations in the DP

The political leader of the Freedom Party in Berat, Lefter Maliqi, declared today that with the results obtained by the Democratic Party in the May 11 elections, there should be resignations at the high level and in the branches.

In a television appearance, Maliqi stated that he is currently against Sali Berisha's departure from the DP.

"There must be resignations in the DP, at the highest level and in the branches. I am also in favor of appointments or commands for a short period, so that the membership can be reviewed, new members can be added, from the top to the branches. But I am against the departure of Sali Berisha at these moments. Meanwhile, the other leaders whom he trusted could not follow him, did not reward him with work, some came or did not come, some worked with the divisions, there were no organizers, there was no confrontation tooth for tooth", - said Maliqi./CNA
