The elected DP MP for the Durrës District, Oerd Bylykbashi, commented today regarding the fires near the Elbasan incinerator.

Invited to a show on 'Syri TV', Bylykbashi focused on the interests associated with contracts, concessions and PPPs and the delays in their judicial processes.

"This whole story should be seen as a product of the concept of how Edi Rama came to power in 2013. He came with very clear ideas. So if PPP was still something theoretical, concessions were rare. Then he came with a theory that governs through. And one of the things that these have as legal and economic instruments to govern, is that they have such long terms that they exceed the 4-year governing mandates. In order to establish contracts, so many interests, with so much courage with a predatory governing plan, you have to guarantee two things, either to destroy the elections, or to take control of the justice system. Because otherwise the elections produce rotation and you have no guarantee of that investment that it will stay, the next government will stay on the same terms. And on the other hand, the justice system can cause you problems and all that interest falls. Both of these have happened. There has been a reform in the justice system that has destroyed the justice system, what we had barely achieved, up to a certain point. all the problems that were with corruption inside, inefficiency, but the goal that here we are today that the entire system has fallen and collapsed. Whoever enters a judicial process today will come out after 14 years. And the second is the elections, the elections of May 11 are just victims in this kind of concept. So to reach concepts of this kind you need a great courage that Albanians had done in 30 years, in terms of the rule of law, democracy, pluralism and others. Edi Rama took this into account.
