Rama was not welcomed by anyone in the USA

WITH SORRY, WORRYING FROM THE PAIN AND PUTTING YOUR SUITCASES INTO THE SECRET SERVICE CAR, WE WISH YOU AN EASY JOURNEY TO TIRANA, wrote Robert Papa to Prime Minister Edi Rama.

There was no official meeting with the State Department or other agencies, but "a letter of praise" from a Jewish NGO in Sandra.

CAM's Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) yesterday published its mid-2024 report on the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism adoptions worldwide, analyzing relevant caseloads since October 7 and outlining action steps for public and private entities to best implement this vital tool. While the latest FBI statistics show that anti-Semitic hate crimes rose to an all-time high last year, using the IHRA definition to recognize and combat anti-Jewish hatred and discrimination is more important than never.

Prime Minister Edi Rama of Albania was awarded the CAM Global Leadership Award at an event during the UN General Assembly's High Level Week in New York City for his exemplary leadership and steadfast ally in the global fight against anti-Semitism. Notably, CAM has previously collaborated with the Albanian parliament to approve the IHRA definition, making Albania the first Muslim-majority country to do so.
Prime Minister Rama's alliance is in complete contrast to the poisonous anti-Semitism announced by several other world leaders during the UN General Assembly in New York.

Colombian President Gustav Petro falsely accused Israel of "genocide" and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan compared Israel's prime minister to Adolf Hitler, a fantastic example of Holocaust reversal that should have no place in the halls of power.
Anti-Semitism on campuses persists, as the latest ARC data points out. More than one in four anti-Semitic incidents in the United States recorded this week — 14 of 49, or 28.6% — occurred at a college or university.

However, some recent positive developments on college campuses offer a glimmer of hope. Columbia University updated its anti-discrimination rules to specify that harassment of Jewish students under the guise of targeting "Zionists" was prohibited. Other university administrations should follow suit, and the U.S. Senate should urgently help protect Jewish students by voting and passing the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act, as 26 Republican governors recently urged in a letter to the Senate Majority Leader. Chuck Schumer.

On Wednesday, CAM hosted a wine tasting event in Deal, New Jersey, featuring products from five prominent Israeli wineries, an important initiative to uplift an industry that has faced daunting challenges since October 7.
