Prime Minister Edi Rama has revealed his strategy to curb the exodus of young people to Kukës.

Rama said during a thank-you meeting that he will extend the coding project to the city of Kukës, to stop emigration.

He claims that in this way new employment opportunities for young people will be opened for international companies in the world.

"Today, at the government meeting, we decided to extend the coding technology program beyond Tirana. It will also come to Kukës. The government has scholarships that cover the courses 100% or 50% for those families who cannot afford them. This means that within 6 months a 16-17 year old will be able to work anywhere in the world without ever leaving Kukës, with his own computer. There are many high school students who bring home much more income than an immigrant, and there is no need to move from the village, not from the city," the head of government emphasized./ CNA.al
