Prime Minister Edi Rama did not forget to mention in Parliament the decision to raise salaries for MPs and ministers.

During his speech, Rama described as hypocrisy the non-acceptance of salary increases by some deputies.

Among other things, he explained that this increase is made according to a certain hierarchy of salary increase. So according to him, a teacher cannot have a higher salary than the President of the country.

Rama further emphasized that the biggest mistake of the government was the salary increase for employees of the justice system.

"A hypocrisy to put your hands on your head. Salary levels are not determined arbitrarily, but in a logic of expertise. He told you that when I speak, I speak about things that I have learned very well. You can't build a salary pyramid and set a teacher's salary higher than the President's. We made a deviation, a deviation in the justice system. It is absurd because we cannot have prosecutors who are paid more than the President, we cannot have prosecutors who are paid more than the Minister of Justice. I don't think this monopathy should be mocked. Whoever takes the Albanians for fools may be wrong, but there comes a day when he came to Shkodër where they live. Order come on, minimum wage. I have no problem. Meanwhile, my position remains that salaries should be in the salary pyramid", he said.CNA.al
