VIDEO-Chris LaCivita's hidden camera is published/ "The Guardian"

The international media outlet "The Guardian" has published an article suggesting that one of the architects of Donald Trump's victory in 2024, while engaged with the DP campaign in Albania, has also advised Peter Dutton and the Liberal Party in Australia on "structural issues" ahead of the elections.

Republican strategist Chris LaCivita appears to have fallen into the trap of some journalists who posed as clients for political consulting work, claiming that he was in Australia and no one knew about it.

The hidden cameras were released on Thursday by European-based organizations Correctiv and the Center for Climate Reporting.

“I was in Australia two weeks ago helping the Liberal party there, with some of their structural problems they were having with Peter Dutton.

"Things seem to be moving in the right direction there... these efforts are strictly political in nature and do not require me to engage with the United States government. No one knew I was there," LaCivita said on April 16 in the first of two phone calls.

Australia's election campaign began on March 28.

According to the video chat, LaCivita tells reporters that he made the trip discreetly.

He compares this to media reports about his paid work with Albania's opposition party, The Guardian writes .

"I'm not interested in attention. I work discreetly. I tried to keep a low profile in Albania, but Albanians have a different mindset there. It's one of those countries where American interference in elections is expected and welcomed. In other countries, not so much. Every client is different, but... They never knew I was there," LaCivita said.

In a statement, LaCivita told Guardian Australia:

“I have not worked and do not work for the Liberal Party of Australia. I provide consultancy to a wide range of business interests - some in Australia, some in the US etc., in terms of a political party - I have not done that. Also, I have never met Mr Dutton, but I hope to meet him when he is elected prime minister.”/ CNA
