SP, deep victory in 3 municipalities/ Berisha: CEC to audit electronic voting

The CEC published a little while ago the results of the elections in the 3 municipalities of Elbasan, Vora and Kamza, where SP candidates won by a wide margin.

Regarding these results, the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke at a press conference.

He requested that the CEC audit the result of the electronic voting machines, as he stated that the media have presented evidence of the transformation of the vote in this process.

Excerpt from the statement:

First, there are some very strong objections to these results, as you have heard, the media have presented evidence of the transformation of the vote in this process. What do I mean by that? I ask the CEC to audit these devices.

Second, the Electoral Code has its own precise predictions on how the deviation of the result from the apparatuses can be handled. PD will demand the implementation of all laws in this direction. There it is suspected that the result has been deviated, the audit will be required.

This is always a preliminary result. The electronic result is called preliminary because the corresponding ballot is always tested. Now some media have come out that have presented three cases saying that I voted for this candidate and the other candidate appeared on my screen.

I'm not here to give a definitive answer, but it requires hearing the apparatus. Whoever has doubts about the alienation of his will, ask for the verification of the sheet. As you know, each electronic vote prints the corresponding paper.

In electronic voting, the result is defined by law as a preliminary result. I am confident in the outcome of these elections. We have monitored the entire election process.

As I said once again, we have not followed the practice of publicizing the scandalous acts that have taken place, we have not followed because our goal has always been not to discourage the elections and this has worked.
