October 7 protest/ Opposition scenarios, Berisha's warnings and police

After the imprisonment of Ervin Salianji for a false report related to the Babalja case, the opposition has taken an action, deciding not to participate in the commissions nor to allow the continuation of a normal parliamentary life.

In the last two sessions in the Assembly, we have seen an opposition that has clashed with the majority, deputies that have fought with fists, as well as burnt chairs at the entrance of the Assembly.

The opposition action will continue with the protest that will take place on Monday, October 7, at 18:00.

The opposition has warned that the protest will extend to all the streets of the capital and that this time the citizens will speak, not politics.

The head of the DP, Sali Berisha, has warned that the protest will be by all means up to civil disobedience, while he has warned the State Police not to dare to touch the protesters.

Berisha has also called on all citizens to join the protest to remove the regime and demand the release of the opposition leader and MP Ervin Salianji, as he calls them political punishment.

Furthermore, the head of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhit, warned that there will be no normal parliamentary life.

Finally, the State Police has taken measures for the progress of the protest, paralyzing the entire city, blocking most of the road axes from 18:00 until the end of the protest.

Political exponents, DP leaders in the districts have been mobilized by holding meetings to prepare protest scenarios./ CNA
