Violence in the Assembly and opposition protest/ Peleshi: Don't cross the
The head of the SP parliamentary group, Niko Peleshi

The head of the parliamentary group of the SP, Niko Peleshi, spoke about the latest political developments, including the violence of the opposition in the Assembly, the expulsion of deputies from the Secretariat of Ethics, as well as the opposition action on October 7, where a national protest is expected to take place.

Pelesi has stated to the media that the red line should not be crossed and that he does not feel good at all about the exclusion of his colleagues, but emphasizes that he should have a normal parliamentary life.

"The parliamentary group of the SP that I lead does not deal with this, it is a matter of the structures of the assembly, specifically the secretariat for ethics, which examines the evidence and makes a decision, I cannot be asked about this. I told you personally, and our group does not care to have a non-normal or exceptional session. We want to have a normal session, with strong debate but within some red lines. The only problem we see in the politics of these years is the understanding of red lines. To argue, but not to go beyond. What happened was unprecedented, but we do not want to have violence present in the parliament and escalate it from one inter-party crisis to another. These are not only our personal opinions but also those of the parliamentary group, it is not our wish to have an unstable parliament", said Peleshi.

Furthermore, Peleshi commented on the opposition action that is expected to start on Monday.

Peleshi said that the opposition is protesting for the Justice Reform, which he himself voted for.

"I cannot comment on what the opposition decides, the protest is a democratic element, not a heresy. Violent protest then is something else, but I cannot prejudge it. The protest is their choice, they can formulate their political demands according to their own political appetites, but I don't see that there is any reason to question the government. Why, because of a final decision of a system independent of the government? Are we talking after we carried out a justice reform together? We voted for it with 140 votes with applause. Now judge the decisions of the courts? For this reason, did you go to the protest?", said Peleshi./ CNA
