Culture Program/ Zhupa: The only artist who got rich was Rama, art on its worst

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa spoke on Syri TV about the culture program. Zhupa said that culture is a battle of the opposition, to protect cultural values.

The DP MP said that Albania is the only country that does not have a National Theater and the only thing that flourished under Rama's government are NGOs and sparrows who stole Albanians' money.

The only artist who got rich is Rama, said Zhupa. MP Zhupa said that the DP will double the budget for culture and will not allow concessions in cultural heritage.

" With Rama's government, culture has become a strong opposition battle to protect cultural values ??from being distorted and treated as commercial goods for the government's clientelist interests. An experiment was made, unprecedented in any country in the world, the merger of the Ministry of Culture with that of the Economy, where culture was transformed into an annex of oligarchs to build visitor centers, shopping centers to acquire villas in cultural areas and to treat cultural heritage as a commercial commodity.

 

The damage done to cultural heritage is very great. The Butrint concession, that of Durrës, cannot be researched by Albanian archaeologists, but only by those of the ADF. We are the only country that does not have a National Theater. The only thing that flourished during Rama were the NGOs of sparrows and other birds that stole Albanians' money and produced neither art nor culture. The only artist who got rich was Rama, he held exhibitions in the world, he got rich with books and sculptures. Art remained at its worst.
