Governance and anti-corruption report/ Rama: Albania has made encouraging

Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that Albania has made significant improvements in recent foreign reports regarding governance and the fight against corruption. Rama made this statement during the presentation of the GRECO report on our country.

Also present were the Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni, and the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha.

Prime Minister Rama said that at the start of this journey, there were problematic reports from all four sides, compared to 2024.

Rama emphasized that this report notes progress in the fight against corruption, public procurement, and governance.

Rama described Albania's results in these reports as very encouraging and considered them a meaningful reflection of the country's progress.

"When we started this journey, there were problematic reports from all four sides.

The latest report gave us many reasons to feel even more motivated.

Ranking Albania first in the region for public procurement.

On the other hand, we also received encouragement.

Albania is ranked as one of the 8 countries with substantial progress in the last decade.

Albania has performed better with all performers.

Governance has also improved, according to the 2024 ranking.
